Hello, my name is Jose’ Alvarez. I have a feature role in the upcoming film "Changing the Game" by Rel Dowell and Aaron Astillero in Spring 2010. "Tom and Valkyrie", directed by Ed Ronin, is another film currently in production in which I portray the character Frankie. I have also starred in “Sacred Game” and “Jokerz Wild” with Clifton Powell in 2009, “Red passport” that debuted in the Lacenimafe Film Festival in New York City in 2003 directed by Albert Xavier and Frank Molina. I also appeared in “The Bagel Boy” and “New York’s Burning”. I also appeared in a film, “The Cutman”, directed by Yon Motskin that debuted in the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and the Tribecca film festival and “Grandchildren” directed by Ben Nedivi that debuted in the New York Film Festival in 2003.

You’ve probably seen my work in such movies as “Jacob’s Ladder”, “Shock to the System”, “Q&A”, and Spike Lee’s “Bamboozled”. I have also made appearances on “The Sopranos”, “Third Watch” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. My theater experiences include “Godspell”, “The Importance of Being Ernest” and also “Guys and Dolls”, for which I was nominated for a Perry Award for Best Male Performance in a Musical.

 I have studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Van Mar Academy School of Acting in California.
